Royal Australian Chemical Institute
A national award of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, established as a memorial to Sir David Orme Masson, founder of the RACI. It is open to financial RACI members, including student members, who hold a BSc or equivalent and are eligible to proceed to a further year of chemistry study at BSc Honours level, the fourth year of a BSc Honours course, or the first postgraduate year following courses such as BAppSc, BSc (Industrial Chemistry), BSc or BE (Chemical Engineering), at an Australian university or other approved institution. A minimum of 12 months' financial membership is required. The winner receives the Masson Memorial Medal, a copy of Len Weickhardt's book Masson of Melbourne, and $500. RACI national award applications run from 1 April to 30 June each year.
